Our Privacy Policy should always be read in conjunction with the specific privacy policy of our Customers which will contain further details regarding the processing of your Personal Data by the Customer, and the privacy policy of the Supported Platform(s).

2. What information do we collect and/or process?

We collect and/or process different types of information including but not limited to Personal data (“Customer Data”):

  • We collect and process information/data from our Customers and/or Customer-Users (“Customer Personal Data”) for our own purposes, such as to provide and administer the Service.
  • We also process other data on behalf of our Customers (such as content generated, requested or published via the Supported Platforms by our Customers) in accordance with the instructions our Customers give us through the Service (including, for example, the information and End User Messages our Customers monitor or collect from Supported Platforms through the Service) (“Customer Content”). Our Customers control how their Customer Content is collected and used by them. Accordingly, we only use Customer Content to provide the Services to our Customer in accordance with the instructions they give us through the Services.

We never collect/process sensitive data as this is not technically allowed through the use of the Service

3. How is your information secured?

The security of your personal information is important to us.

FreelanceFlux has implemented various measures to ensure that the information is adequately protected against unauthorized access, use, disclosure and destruction. Please keep in mind that risk can never be eliminated but can be significantly mitigated and reduced. You should bear in mind that submission of information over the internet is never entirely secure.

All measures which FreelanceFlux has taken significantly reduce the risk. FreelanceFlux shall not be held liable by any third party, including you, in any event of unauthorized access, use and/or disclosure of information provided that such is not due to Gross Negligence, willful misconduct, fraud or bad faith by FreelanceFlux.

4. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

5. Your rights: Access, change, deletion, disclosure

Our goal is to give you simple and meaningful choices regarding your information. 

You have the right to object to the processing and collection of your personal data, and to withdraw your consent at any time.

Whenever you withdraw consent, you acknowledge and accept that this will immediately terminate your use of the Service.

5.1 Edit information on your profile any time

You can edit your information include your personal data in your profile any time.  You can also request modification or deletion of your information at any time by sending an email to [email protected], with your first and last name. Such a request will have to be sent from the email address used to create your account on the Service.

5.2 Delete your account at any time

When you close your account, we’ll deactivate it, remove your profile and delete your account data.

To permanently delete your account:

  • From your main profile, click you name in the top right of FreelanceFlux.
  • Select Settings, then click Account Settings.
  • Click Delete Account in the left column.
  • Enter your password for verification and reaon to leave.
  • Click Delete Account button

6. Cookies and related technologies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

7. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

8. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
